I went on a Thursday night, arriving at around 10pm and staying until nearly closing. For customers accustomed to upscale, big-city clubs, this place takes a bit of getting used to. The atmosphere is anything but elegant. It really has the feel of a small-town bar. However, once I settled in, I enjoyed my time there very much. I would advise business travelers coming in from out-of-town to dress down. Showing up in nice threads seems to make the local boys a bit uncomfortable. Great things about this club include the cover ($3 at the door), the price of a cold beer ($2 for a Bud or Bud Light, which is all you'll have to choose from), NO annoying DJ (gotta love that), full length songs (for any of you who have suffered through an evening at any of the Spearmint Rhinos, you will appreciate being able to enjoy the company of that special someone for substantially larger chunks of time), the frindliness of the girls: there is so little hustle, and if they ask you if you want a dance and you politely decline, they are still nice! And for those of us on a budget, the fact that a full-length lapdance goes for $10 is a significant bonus. Most of the girls were damn attractive (5's to 8's), and the stage dancing was consistently high-energy (despite somewhat meager tipping on the night I visited). Best of all, the mileage on the lap dances is very high: continuous two-way contact seems to be the norm. I highly recommend a visit to the Hugger, and don't worry about the chairs--the girls know how to make a guy feel comfortable. I would take this place over all the West Coast Rhinos any day of the week. My score would have been even higher if there had been a few more drop-dead beautiful 9-10 women, ala Olympic Garden.
