Not a Bad Place but Seriously Overpriced

I had been to Scarlett's earlier in the evening and there just wasn't much happening so I decided to head to Gold Club to see if things were better there. $10 cover, no charge for parking. Girl at the register may be the hottest chick in the place. This is a massive club. It's probably the 2nd largest club I've been to in Florida after Tootsie's. There's a large bar on one end and a large stage on the other with plenty of tables in the middle. There is room for several dancers to be on stage at once but on this night there was only 1 dancer and she was putting in minimal effort. Elsewhere around the club were girls sitting at tables with PLs talking and drinking. The girls I saw ranged from 5 to 8 with most sitting in the 6 to 7 range. I ordered a $6 Corona from the male bar tender and gave him a $20. He brought me back $14 in singles. I guess he assumed I'd tip him $2 but that assumption cost him any future tips from me. That is a huge pet peeve of mine. I always over tip unless you pull some shit like that. Anyway, I was there for all of 5 minutes before the first girl showed up to my seat. Latina girl in her 30's. She was very sloppy and not at all my type so I sent her away. A few minutes later another Latina came by but this girl was a sold 7 and she let her hands wander as we talked. She asked if I was interested in a dance and I asked for pricing. This place has gone way up in price over the last year. It's now $40 per dance. I think this is the highest in Tampa. I'm fairly sure $10 goes to the house to get into the LD area. One bit of credit I will give them is that they list their prices clearly as you enter the LD area. It was indeed $40 for a LD and $200 for 30 min in the VIP. The LD area is made up of two rows of small cubicles with no privacy. The dance was actually pretty good. High mileage but half way through, the girl started pushing hard for VIP. She used her words carefully but it was heavily implied that extras were on the table. I could tell from experience that was going to be at least $400 and I was just not that into her. I thanked her for the dance, gave her a small tip and went back to have another beer before leaving. A couple other girls came by but none of them were worth a $40 dance.

This club has certainly become one of the more expensive clubs in the area and I'm not entirely sure anything justifies that. Overall though, the girls are nice and the beer is cold and I'm fairly sure you can get high mileage if you're willing to pay for it.
