Saturday Night

I made a recent Saturday night visit to Platinum Plus. It’s a big opulent looking building near the airport (and near nothing else really). I arrived around 10pm, they have a big, well lighted parking lot. Paid a $12 cover charge to an incredibly perky door girl, no ID scan or pat down.

Inside hasn’t changed, big stage in the middle of the room, pole on one side of the stage, hoop on the other side of stage. Bars on both the north and south sides of the club, only the bar on the south side was open though. There’s a pool table on the north side of the club too. They also have a full kitchen. Physically, it’s probably the nicest club in town, if that matters to you.

The seating really sucks here, they put these really big VIP booths on both sides of the club, they take up so much room so all the tables are off to the side a good distance away from the stage. Nobody was sitting in those VIP booths, I sense they are usually empty. It really sucks any energy out of the place. They should rethink the placement of those booths.
