Friday night at Roxxx

I was visiting St. Louis last weekend so I decided to make my usual rounds to the east side clubs. My first stop was Roxxx on Friday night at about 10:45. I was able to get a parking spot on the street (Jefferson St.) and walked around the corner. Roxxx does have a small parking lot, but I haven’t used in in any of my previous visits so I’m not sure if they charge to park. Security scans your id and pats you down outside of the club prior to letting you in. Cover charge was $10 at the time I got there (however a friend of mine who met me after midnight there said he got charged $20).

The layout didn’t change much since my last visit. Club is small, all on one level with three stages (all without poles) and a few tables with chairs scattered throughout the club. Not much action out on the floor when I first arrived, only a couple of dancers sitting on the stages checking their phones so I headed to the bar. I did notice that they removed the 4 or 5 high chairs that were at the bar in my last visit. I ordered a dusse for $10 and grabbed a seat one of the tables that was facing the TV. I checked out the 4th quarter of the knicks/suns game that was on while I waited for more dancers to hit the floor. After maybe 10-15 minutes a couple of dancers joined me at my table. One ordered a hookah, the other rolled up a blunt. We chatted a bit while they smoked. One the dancers was telling me that she mainly dances at Onyx, but dances here on occasion for a change of pace. She said that this place can be fun depending on the night. It is slower during the week and livelier on Fridays and Saturdays (stays open until about 4am).

I asked the dancer who was doing the most talking to dance for me after she finished her hookah. No set prices for the dances, I just tipped singles while she danced. She did a nice job of grinding for a few songs while I tipped. She didn’t get naked, but had on a see-through fishnet outfit that didn’t leave anything to the imagination. No crazy mileage, but she did let my hands roam a bit and she had a nice body so I enjoyed the dances. I thanked her for the dances and she moved on. By this time more girls were out on the floor (~20 all black) and most of the action here seems to revolve around stage tipping as opposed to traditional lap dances. Some of the dancers get totally naked on stage and will provide a nice stage side grind if you are tipping. More patrons were filing in and since there isn’t a lot of seating options there are a lot of guys just standing around tipping and smoking. I tipped a few more girls on stage and enjoyed some stage side grinds before deciding to head across the street to bottoms up at about 1:30.
