Oh well, maybe next time
I haven't been to the Red Carpet for many years. It was a nice, small town bar with young ladies who danced topless, the last time I was here. There was no "VIP" and all dances were "hands off" lap dances in the one very open room. On the other hand, the dances were just $10 and many of the dancers did try to give more than your money's worth.
The club opens at 4pm, so I figured things would be going when I arrived at 7:30 - Nope! The manager was stocking the bar and one dancer was dusting rails and chair backs - at least she was wearing a see thru bikini and 6" heels - so housework was attractive. I had a conversation with the manager who was unhappy that his bartender wasn't able to come in and two girls had already called out. He was otherwise upbeat and easy to talk to. I learned that the remodel was done mostly about two years ago, with some changes dating back 4 or 5 years and a couple of updates in the past year. All of the changes due to the long time owner retiring and new ownership. I didn't catch all of the story but I think he told me the new owner is related somehow to the old.
Anyway, I got to see the very nice looking club that still had just the one dancer, who hadn't spoken to me but was still cleaning, all the way to 8:15. Two women walked in and hugged the manager saying they will be right out before dragging their bags to the back. When the original dancer went to the back at 9:00 and neither of the other two dancers had made an appearance, I chose to make my exit. I will say that the manager said it should be busy after 10pm and invited me back sans cover.
