Golden Dragon Exotic Club

This club is intended as an after-hours place. No alcohol is sold and it is open until 6:00 am. I came here after a short visit to another Portland club on the same evening (see separate review). After going through a pat-down, climbing stairs to the second floor and paying a $10 cover (I arrived before the cost increased to $20 at midnight), I entered the club. The space includes pool tables near the entrance, a bar to the back left, one large un-elevated stage in the middle with a couple more small stages toward the back. There are also private rooms in the far back of this space and many long couches next to all the stages and around the perimeter. So there were plenty of places to sit even though the club had over 50 patrons. The overall atmosphere was loud and frenetic, probably because everyone there, with the exception of a couple of the staff, was between 18 and 25 years old. I sat at the main stage for a while then moved to a couch near the pool tables and then moved again to a more secluded couch all in an effort to find some calm. This is very hard to do here.
