Quick Stop

The Landing Strip is a upper tier club in Romulus Michigan. Located off of Goddard, this multi story club gets you away from the lower tier clubs on Michigan Avenue and rightfully competes with the Flight Club in terms of dancers, food, drink prices and overall friendliness.

I arrived before 10PM on Saturday, pulling up to valet. No ticket was handed to me, and the valet told me it was okay, that they’d remember. I was impressed, as the parking lot was rather full and they were parking cars across the near side street. Upon entering, a dress code is on display as you are about to go up the stairs. I arrived in a hoodie, albeit a designer one. I did bring a shirt to change just in case, so I went back out and met the valet to get it. He told me I’d be okay in what I was wearing. Regardless, I changed to be safe.

After going up the stairs, I paid the $20 cover. The bouncer told me there were only bar seats and one table by the stage available. The booths, in my past experience, range from $20-$40 depending on the time of day. I chose the table and tipped the bouncer. If you don’t do this, shame. It’s always good to be on the bouncers side. In the past, they will typically come up to me to check in or let me know if a booth is available. Always be on their side.
