Good times with a party, don't know about going alone

After a work happy hour, a couple of colleagues and I decided to stop by Playmates for a little fun on a Thursday night. This was my first strip club experience since recently moving to Miami so didn't know what to expect. We got there around eight, and the place was dead. My first impression from the decor was that this place was probably the place to be 30 years ago. Clearly labeled Lapdance area, and a separate but also clearly labeled champagne room. The vibe is like GTA Vice City. One stage, with a barrier around so hard to tip dancers while dancing. The bar is at the back of the room, and tables between the bar and stage.

$10 cover to get in. One of my colleagues is a regular there, so the bartender knew him, but for the first hour, we were sitting at the bar just talking. Maybe 5-6 girls dancing, many of them sitting off to the side at VIP tables. Drinks were about $6 to $7(easy cocktails).

Around 9:30 - 10:00 pm is when the places started to liven up. The more attractive women started to do their rounds (6s to 9s). Me not speaking Spanish limited my experience. There were mostly Cuban, but others from south Florida and mostly Latina. One of my friends disappeared to the champagne room. I didn't know these workmates as well, so I wasn't going to visit that room just yet. Not many girls danced on stage, and floor work seemed to be the main focus. That being said I had 3 or 4 lapdances. This was the first time that I experienced a lapdance area with a staff member managing who was going in and out. It was strange and off-putting at first, but upon further thought, you don't have to worry about dancers cheating you out of money on dances. They split the money $5 to the house, and $20 to the dancer. Dances were good, a lot of NE, the girls were handsy. The girls that spoke English really pushed for going to the champagne room. I didn't inquire, but it seemed like anything was on the table.
