It had been 3 years since...

It had been 3 years since I had driven the 65 miles to get to Jimmy's. I always liked the place, but it was a haul to get there.

I just joined this site after attending a conference in Florida where a vendor awoke a daemon in me :-) But read about Tampa elsewhere :-)

I went last Sunday Night - not the greatest for energy - but I had a better time than in Florida.

First, all the previous reviews are right about the lighted parking lot, no cover, and, especially, the friendliness of staff and dancers.

This place has really improved the dance room. It used to be a disco dance floor with aluminum leg chairs. It is now full of comfortable enclosed boothes set at angles to each other so you don't have to see someone staring at you when your new girlfriend is accidentally rubbing up to Mr. Happy. And accidents happen often :-) There has got to be a better name than "grind". This can be heaven, as long as you like your girl to rub her body against yours, and you can keep your hands in your pockets :-) BTW, I had been looking for a pair of 100% black sweatpants with no piping or bright logos. Russell. Not Nike or the others. The pockets are about an inch or two shorter than I'd like, and there are no back pockets.
