Tourist Trap - Review of Rick's Cabaret • 135 9th St Pittsburgh, PA 15222

I used to go to this club a lot, back when it was Blush. It was a great place to go after the game, be it Steelers, or Penguins. It is located right downtown, just across the Ninth Street Bridge. Once the people that worked at the door, and the bartenders got to know you, everybody was friendly and laid back. The owner, Albert, would even come up to us sometimes and ask us how we were doing. Things changed after Rick's Cabaret took over. It became a total tourist trap. The prices went way higher on everything, especially bottle service and VIP rooms. The people that work there are rude and disrespectful. They treat everybody like a POS. They want to look at your ID as soon as you come in the door, like they are worried that you might be from the PLCB or something. The cover charge is usually around $15, on ordinary nights, with no headliner. As soon as you get in the club, they are up your butt. They watch everybody to make sure that you are spending your money. You have to watch where you sit. A lot of the tables are off limits. The bartenders are inexperienced and rude. The cocktail waitresses are are all chubby and rude. They are constantly watching your drinks, bothering you to buy another round every three minutes. Whether it's just me or with friends, we all have a better time at Cheerleaders, or Spearmint Rhino, these days.
