2 of 2 bad Pittsburgh outings

After a very lame trip to Club Erotica I drove to Beemers which from what I could tell from reviews would be a good time. I arrived around 10 pm on a Wednesday to a near empty parking lot, a locked door and a sign indicating that they were having water issues. So, I headed back in the direction of my hotel. While en route I drove by Tennyson Lodge which wasn't at all on my radar. The lot had about 15 cars in it so I took that as a good sign for middle of the week in the dead of winter in a semi rural area.

Upon entry I was charged $10 for cover charge and ordered a $4 domestic bottle of beer. There were about a dozen customers and six or so dancers in this small, run down dive bar. Low ceilings add to the bar feel vs. strip club. There is a small men's room near the front door that you climb about three stairs to get up to. They played decent current music, mostly hip hop at a comfortable level. Small smoking area outside which is semi enclosed by the natural landscape.

The customers appeard to be local, regular types. I was pretty buzzed as were several of the other customers. One guy in his early 20s was hammered and throwing lots of singles while his buddy was in the private area. Sadly, watching him be super drunk but tossing a lot of $1s was one of the more entertaining aspects of the visit. I noticed that this club has not been reviewed since 2019. Probably not a lot 'first timer' traffic in this place like I was.
