Amnesia is a little off the beaten path... down Revo about 10 blocks from the arch (a $5 cab ride from the border). I visited twice, on a Wed and Thurs evening in late October. They charge a $6-8 cover, but I got a cover-free coupon from their website before I visited. The first round of beers was 2x1 ($4).
The bar is the largest I've seen in TJ. One stage dominates the main area, with one dancer performing topless (usually on the second song). Nice leather seats with small tables, even at the stage. Good peanuts, with a little lime taste, to go with the beer. VIP area has about 10 booths, each with an uncomfortable chair and essentially transparent curtain. For both of my visits, there was a wide selection of dancers and not too many customers.
The women are hot... mostly 8-9. If you like enhancements, you'll be especially happy. VIP dances are steep: $20 minimum, and that's for a "San Diego" special (with clothes). The high-end dances are $60 and are totally nude. On my Wed visit, I was told (numerous times) that there was a 2x1 special on VIP dances. No such deal on my Thurs visit. If you turn down the dancer enough times for a VIP (the average is four, I calculated), you are offered a $10 table dance... about the same quality as the $20 VIP, except with less touching. I saw many customers were scattered about the bar receiving table dances.
