Not Sustainable

After reading the enthusiastic reviews of Solid Gold’s much anticipated re-opening, I finally had the chance to visit on a Thursday evening in mid December, about 7:30 pm. This is one of the nicest facilities in South Florida, and this club has everything anyone would want… except for customers and dancers.

I arrived and parked in the gated and lighted parking lot. There is valet parking available, but not necessary since there were plenty of free self-parking spaces another 50 feet away. There were two guys at the entry stairs (valet and parking attendant), but neither asked me for any money. In the entry vestibule there was a cute hostess on the left who said there was no cover until 8, and “you can give me just the tip”. Evidently she missed the pun.

Once inside, there are bars at both the far right and left. A large stage in the center, with at least 2 small satellite platforms. Tables and chairs are placed around the stage. There is a clean bathroom with attendant to the left of the bar where you enter, and the lap dance areas and vip rooms are to the left of the bar at the far end.
