The Physical Plant

Mickey’s Valley View Pub is located at 46 Carpenter Street, Cumberland, RI. It is past the junk yards into a residential neighborhood. There is ample parking on the north and east sides of the building and it is video monitored. It looks like a VFW Hall. You enter on the side, go through a second door and someone will get up from the bar and ask for the $5 cover. There is a large, rectangular bar directly in front of you, pool table to the right, bathrooms (which are remarkably clean) beyond the pool table and the entrance to the dressing room in the far corner. There is seating on all four sides of the bar. There is a stage along the corner walls to your left, a handful of tables and chairs, and four beaded cubicles on the far left wall.

The Peculiarities

The stage is never used. The bar top is the stage. The performers will walk or crawl along the bar top employing whatever is available to generate a tip from the customers parked along the bar. If you are interested in private time in the beaded cubicles, you buy a 5 minute token for $20 and you and the selected performer go to the Private Dance area where your 5 minutes are determined by an egg timer.
