Don't believe the hype

I checked out Vivide twice last week and I must say, it's not improving at all in my opinion. My first visit was early last week on Wed evening around 8pm. The second visist was Christmas Eve.The parking lot is much better than follies and I prefer the parking situation here to most clubs in Atlanta. The security here is cool and is always friendly when approaching. I must say the staff is much better than the old follies and I've only ever encountered one unpleasant person at this location. Upon entering, you're upstairs that has a bar to the right and a very small stage and a few couches to the left. The bar is usually unmanned and there are sometimes a few dancers and customers at the few locations upstairs as was the case on this visit. The club seemed full but because of the layout, that doesn't mean much at all. The club is filled with couches that take up a rather large amount of space downstairs which is where most of the action takes place. There's a few stages downstairs but they're rarely occupied, at least not compared with how other Atlanta clubs have stage sets. It seems like the girls get up and dance randomly when they want. The VIP's are areas that used to be available to sit but are now just enclosed with curtains. Overall, the layout is still obviously suited for a lounge type night life spot and not a strip club.

Today I arrived rather late on day shift at around 630-7PM. There were about 6-10 dancers of which most were black with 1 white girl, about 2 latinas and the rest black. Most dancers ranked at a 5-6 in the waist and 6-7 in the face. I didn't plan to stay long because the talent was lacking. I went to the bar to order and there was a black female bartender today. Unfortunately the bartender was terrible. Me and several others waited at 15 minutes while she entertained and played with other employees and ignored everyone wanting a drink. Based on the level of service, I assumed this woman was a former follies employee. I eventually got my first drink and describing my shot as small is honestly giving her to much credit. I was there to get to lit so I downed my first shot fairly quick and tried to get her attention again for another shot. I gave it 20 minutes and again another line of people began to complain after about 10 minutes of waiting and I just said fuck it and bounced. Didn't spend a dollar on dances and left with my chips.

The day for before Saint Nick arrived was much, much better. Security was friendly and welcoming as always, dancer count and looks was improved as well. The club atmosphere was much better overall. Dec 24th had about 10 - 15 dancers on staff at about 4 - 5 PM and the attractiveness was much better at around 7 - 8 waist and face. I noticed several former follies dancer's in Egypt, Diamond, and Chasity. The bartender was great and I think she was former follies as well. Got a perfect cognac on the rocks and my day started perfect. Downed the first and she hooked it up again as I started with dances with a chick from Ohio. I forgot her name but she has enormous tiddays and a nice ass. I also seen the chick that resembles the porn star mentioned in another review. The dances were 10 a piece and I grabbed about 15 from the chick from Ohio, Egypt, and the one that resembles the porn star. All were medium mileage dances with plenty of stick shifting and grinding, non were at follies level. I enjoyed my second visit but can't get over paying double for sevice and looks I can get for 5 at other Atlanta establishments. If they up there white girl and latina game, this place may be able to complete with other black clubs. At this time though, I would consider this just another black club with more expensive dances.
