Not At Shift Change
I'm writing this review only as a "heads-up" to others. Shift change is NOT the time to visit the Hugger
The Hugger has been described a hundred times here so the details are not necessary. One thing I can say with certainty, it hasn't changed in 25 years . . . same tables, same chairs, same bar stools. There's an auxiliary bar that I've rarely seen used, maybe it sees some activity when they are busy at night. The pool table and seating in the pool table vicinity is rarely occupied accept for the dancers who are more interested in playing with their phones than working the room for "private" dances." The Hugger doesn't have any private areas or booths, just chairs along the wall that are reserved for lap dances
.
Work had me driving through the area so I decided to stop for a bit on my way. Unfortunately for me, I arrived at a bad time, about 6:30. I took a seat at the bar and noticed several dancers, maybe 10, were around. There was a decent crowd I thought for a weekday late afternoon. The bartender told me that they had been very busy that day and she was tired and ready to go.home, apparently the dancers felt the same way. What was happening was as the dancers were coming off the stage they were making their usual rounds to collect tips but when I asked for a dance I was told "thanks but I'm gonna get dressed and get outta here." I got the same answer from two different dancers. I also noticed that as girls were finishing up lap dances they were heading directly for their locker room to change and head home. Good for them, they had a profitable day!
