A Good Place for an Afternoon Pit Stop While Traveling

I drove through Jacksonville mid-afternoon the day before Thanksgiving and made brief stops at what I understand to be the only two nude clubs in town – Doll House and Sinsations – before getting back on the road. Because they’re nude clubs, neither serves alcohol. Girls dancing onstage will get nude when tips reach $5.00. At this time of day, each club had plenty of free parking in a paved lot. Sinsations has a small lot out front, but there is also parking behind the building, which may not be apparent to a first-time visitor.

I had been to Sinsations a few times before, so I knew what to expect. I paid $5.00 at the door, with no ID check, COVID protocols, or pat-down. Bottled water was $6.00 at the bar, where the sign says the bartender will get topless for a $5.00 tip. I also know from a previous visit that the bartender will do dances if it’s not too busy, so if you like what you see, feel free to ask.

The front room of this club is kind of weirdly laid out. It’s long and narrow. If you’re just coming in, the stage is more or less in front of you against the near wall, with a few seats at the stage and then tables and chairs to the right, past the stage. The bar is on the left, opposite the stage, but only the first two seats at the bar are across from the stage. To your left across from the main part of the bar are a few tables at a long bench, and then there are tables and chairs further to the left at the end of the room. It is not a very big front room.
