$5 Wednesdays at Diva's

I decided to head out to Diva's on a Wednesday afternoon to see if the $5 dances were legitimate. I arrived around 1pm and paid the door fee + VIP wristband fee = $37. There were about 9 customers inside and about the same number of dancers. I'm pretty sure every girl there was Latina that afternoon - language ranging from no English at all to bilingual. I would put the dancer quality as slightly below average in terms of looks. Most seemed to be early 30s with top and / or bottom enhancements or just generally thick. If you are into thinner, model types, you'd be SOL on a Wed afternoon at Diva's.

Being a BYOB club and it being lunchtime, everyone is there for one reason - to buy and sell dances. You can't be seated for more than 5 mins before a girl propositions you for one. I got dances from 5 different girls this visit. While one girl was older and clearly just going thru the motions (it's super dark in there + hard to tell what they really look like at times until it's too late!), the rest of the dances were pretty great. Heavy two-way contact, occasionally south of the border. As far as the $5 special goes, it seems to really vary by dancer. Some seemed to tone down the fun of their dances when you confirmed the $5. Others refused to get fully nude at the $5 rate. While others fully honored it and the discount did not seem to affect service. Hell, one nice girl even gave me change! Really a YMMV situation on the Wednesday deal all in all.

End of the day, I'd recommend a Wednesday afternoon at Diva's. The $5 dance rate is in, as expected, too good to be true territory and the girls just aren't up to the quality of the higher-end clubs in Austin. However, the value is still certainly there and the girls are very eager to please.
