Two different experiences.
This is the combination of a couple of visits, with very different experiences. I usually try to stop in here when I’m in town. It has always been a pretty laid back place, with a group of older, experienced dancers , and a constantly changing group of younger dancers.
When you enter, there is a long bar in front of you and stages to the right and left. Entry and a bottle of water were less than $10. Most dancer drinks were also less than $10, but always ask because the “specialty “ ones can get expensive.
Now as to the different experiences. On the first visit, when I drove by, the parking lot was fuller than I had seen it in years. When I went in, there was a real party atmosphere with lots of girls and lots of patrons. I knew the owner and asked her what had changed and she said she had hired a new female bartender and the girl had brought her friends in as dancers, and the patrons followed.
I went back about three weeks later and it appeared things had reverted back to the old model. About 4 dancers and three patrons. The owner wasn’t there, so I didn’t get to ask if this was permanent or had I just caught them on an off day..
I did notice one other change. The “private” area now had doors instead of a curtain of beads. I didn’t go in to see if they had made any other changes. I was told it was $40 to the house to go back, and then whatever you negotiated with the dancer.
