Backwoods Surrealism

The Office Gentlemen's Club
5089 Rt 42, Main St South Fallsburg, NY 12779
After the last review, curiousity got the better of me and I decided to check this place out. It’s right on a main road and as you pull in you go through a chain link gate with barbed wire on top. Walk in the front door and you are in a short hall that goes to the right. At the end there is a counter where you pay the $20 cover. On this evening it was being collected by a thick AA gal who seemed nice enough. Once inside, the bar is to your right and the stage to the left. There are a couple dance booths on the front wall and a bathroom, and what seemed to be a VIP area on the back wall. The stage is surrounded by about a dozen well worn office chairs… hence the club name I suppose. When I arrived around 9, there were two dancers on. Neither of them said much. In fact, it was awkward how little they communicated. One was a spinner. The other had a little more going on. I got a can of soda from the bar. There is no alcohol. I sound system was also putting out an awful 60HZ hum and the bartender kept of cutting the songs off by accident as she was making a playlist on the club iPad. All this together, and it was really hard to settle in. Behind where I was sitting, there was a wood stove… yes, that’s right. The hostess actually had a fire going and it was roaring. Eventually another dancer showed up. Short, fit, bolt ons. After she showed up I decided I’d at least stick around to see her set. She had a lot of poke skills and was a bit more engaging than the other two. However, shortly after her arrival, a tribe of frat boys showed up, and I took that as my cue to head out. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
