A Good Night Following A Long Absence
I live in Indy and typically hit clubs a couple like this a couple of times a month, but I hadn't been here specifically in more than four years. I didn't clearly remember why, so I decided to give the club another try on a recent Friday night.
I drove in around 10:15 p.m. and parked in the building's parking lot, which is so cramped that it probably violates some kind of safety regulations. The set-up inside was exactly how I remember: a long room with the bar near the front door and the main floor beyond. Four small stages dot the length of the floor, and both the high-backed red chairs (situated in wall-like rows) and red decorative lighting maintain the building's theme. One wall is entirely mirrors except for the emergency exit, and the DJ booth is raised well above the floor. Dance areas and restrooms are in the back, and I think private rooms are in the second floor back there? (I know there are stairs up watched by a bouncer, but I've never been up there.)
The place wasn't busy to start, with at least as many dancers as patrons initially present. More dancers gradually filtered in over the next two hours, and the customer count started increasing substantially around 11:30 p.m.; it was moderately busy by the time I left around 12:30. Average dancer quality was higher than I remember; only maybe one stand-out (see below), but most were at least somewhat attractive. For reasons I was never clear about, a few of them had animal themes going, including one who had a cat theme complete with cat ears, collar, and leash. I ended up getting one dance from her because I was curious, but she didn't do anything special with it.
