Visited: Friday Evening

Went by The Cheetah on a recent Friday evening. This place has undergone a lot of changes post-COVID. According to a couple of the dancers the owner died fairly recently. The club has been taken over by the deceased owner's son who has put a number of changes in place. The goal is to be more like a "miami club" they said. One thing that is nothing like a miami club is that the no-contact situation has not changed at all as far as I could tell. The long lighted runways alongside each of the two long bars have both been ripped out. They have been replaced by low walls instead. Not only are the girls no longer walking up and down the lit runways really close to the bars (which was very cool) but now there is a wall separating the customers from the stages. There is a pole now on a smallish stage in the middle and two tiny side stages. There was a much more diverse crowd and the ethnic diversity of the dancers has increased a ton. The dancer quality overall has taken a serious hit based on this night. There were a lot, and I mean a lot, of folks coming in just for dinner who weren't interacting with the dancers at all. Lots of women in the customer category too. The dancers are far enough away from the customers that there isn't as much tipping and therefore there aren't as many clothes coming off. The Cheetah had its place before - super hot chicks getting naked - but that was about it. Now it doesn't even really have that.

Second generation owners screw up a lot of businesses. That is happening at The Cheetah right now.
