South Bay is limited in it's stripclubs. That being said, most of the clubs feel like neighborhood dive bars, and AJs is no exception. Lots of locals and career strippers that should've retired a while ago. As a seasoned stripclub patron, I've definitely noticed that strippers come in two groups. The first being the young girl looking to go clubbing and basically getting paid to party and drink. And then you have the older ones that should've retired a while ago, either by changing their career or finding a man. When you see and older girl that is still stripping, it usually means that she doesn't have a man, and has burned so many bridges, that no one will help her move on. AJ's has many of those....BUT, they are still nice and I still like going to see them. I'm not marrying them, so my expectations are more realistic as to what to expect. Some of the older chicks have so much attitude, and are always scheming, that they totally turn guys off. If any dancers are reading this, be nice to the guys, most of these guys are nice enough to help out, as long as they don't feel like they're getting hustled. Anyways, not bad place if you're nearby. They serve over priced alcohol, which is good. Layout is terrible. Waste of space. Stage takes up 50% of the square footage. Bizarre... but if it works for them, then oh well.
