Solid Gold Pompano Officially Reopened – Thanks TwentyFive!

Solid Gold Pompano finally re-opened Wednesday evening 10/27. Months after all the other area clubs had long re-opened Solid Gold is finally back. It seems they took that time and put it to good use doing some minor renovating and refreshing everything.

WEDNESDAY: I did a quick recon opening night from 8:30pm to 9:00. For this opening week, they don’t open until 7:00pm. The great news is they had free drinks, hors d’oeuvres & entry from 7:00pm – 9:00pm (tonight Friday 10/29 is the last night for that). When I arrived, the parking lot was full and cars lined the area near the club. I was able to walk right in and the place was packed! I heard later in the evening they had a line of people waiting to enter. They had over 100 dancers there, and it was so crowded, you had trouble walking around. The main stage is a long runway in the center of the club, raised about 3 feet with two poles. They had two dancers on that stage and there were dancers on the two satellite stages at opposite ends of the club. They had the music cranked up, so talking near the stage was difficult, but it didn’t seem quite as loud at the bars at either end of the club.

The dancers all wore gowns and while there were a few 6’s, most of the girls were in the 7-9+ range. In talking to several dancers, some had come from sister clubs as far away as Myrtle Beach SC. With that many dancers there was something for everyone. Plenty of all American women, a half dozen svelte AA’s and a fair share of Cubans. I made the ‘mistake’ of making eye contact with a couple of well-endowed Cubans and they immediately came over and introduced themselves. After a few pleasantries, they offered to give me a tour of the club / lap dance and VIP rooms. The VIP rooms are located behind the second bar. When you first enter, there is a hallway to your right that leads to the 15-minute VIP booths. These are all private rooms with a couch and a dark curtain. To the left are the 30-60 minute VIP rooms. These are bigger rooms with an LCD TV, which provides some light and entertainment along with the same thick black curtain to give you privacy. They quoted $500 for 30 minutes and promised a really good time. I passed at the moment and we continued our tour. I want to say the 15min rooms ran $350 and the hour was $600, but don’t quote me on those amounts. It seemed like a lot of the dancers said they weren’t sure what the prices were but I had multiple quote $500 for a half hour.
