I've been to Hawthorne often during the last few months. There is a massive difference on the quality of dancer when you go. Earlier in the week is pretty brutal with maybe one or two attractive dancers. During the weekend the quality is on par with any club in the area people like Poni, Esme, Dakota, Josie, and others make it a really good time.
No cover charge, friendly bartenders (usually they are dancers just on another shift), and a great taco truck attached to the back of the club on the deck it's a good hang. Dancers are friendly and will approach you. Not a hard sell environment by any means but more like a good corner bar with attractive women. (keep the tips flowing though)
Music was a mixture depending on the girl, a little too loud, but nothing overboard. The club is just super tiny so it's good to get a spot and post up for the night, as it fills up and becomes a pain to get around.
Dances have been hit or miss depending on who is working, I have had dances that were super friendly with a lot of mutual touching and others that have been pretty by the book. Nothing illicit though.
