Second Visit to Desire was a Bummer!

We arrived around 11:00 or so, paid our $10 covers, waked through the metal detector, my purse was “peeked” into, and my hubby got the good old pat-down that wasn’t exactly the pat-down he was seeking, lol.

It wasn’t quite as simple as that, however, because a good sized group of guys and girls arrived a minute or so after us, stumbling in after attending a wedding. The bouncer originally thought we were part of their group and immediately gave his spiel about each female guest needing to be escorted by a man. (More on this later…) This didn’t sit well with the drunk wedding goers, one of whom repeatedly kept explaining that it was her birthday in 43 minutes. Finally I interrupted and said “Meanwhile, can we go in now?”, and then had to explain we weren’t with the other newbs.

We visited on Sunday late evening of a long weekend (Columbus Day). Once inside the club, there are two bars: one nearer the entrance and the second closer to the back wall. The restrooms are down a hallway, just beyond the main entrance and are actually pretty clean(ish). We didn’t partake in any dances so I’m not entirely sure where the VIP and CR are located. There are two stages… the main stage has a pole, with seating around the rail and a large mirror behind the dancers, giving better views. A second, smaller stage is beside it, but wasn’t in use that night due to it being a quieter night. We bought the $20 for $25 worth of drinks pass, so I didn’t pay much attention to individual drink prices. With that being said, we did blow through it pretty quickly.
