Didn't Know this Place Existed
I visited this place for the first time this week. Cover charge was $20 bucks. I didn't know it existed until I saw a review on TUSCL earlier this month. It is in a difficult place to find... but it is walking distance from the Showcase Theatre club which I also visited on this night. The Body Shop displayed small signs with lights to help navigate you through the roads and turns of an industrial part of Beltsville, not far off route 1.
So the name The Body Shop has been used before by strip clubs around the country... but this club actually appears to be set up in a building that was actually formerly an auto body shop. It looks like an entrepreneur said "I'm gonna open a strip club right here in this little space." The club is small, but everything in the club looks brand new. As soon as I got there, one of the strippers gave me a tour. It has a nice spot for lap dances in a communal area and another spot with six rooms for private dances. Aesthetically, the place looks great.
The problem is... the atmosphere was bad and there weren't many dancers. I would consider this a black club, because the 5-10 dancers were all black or hispanic. Some of them were attractive, but the vibe was bad and it just wasn't my scene. This place doesn't serve alcohol, but I believe you can buy a cup, go outside to your car, get alcohol in your cup, and bring it inside... just like the Showcase Theatre around the corner. I didn't stay long here and I didn't get any dances, but I can confirm the bathrooms are nice.
