sinclair's Review

I went to Bikini Bar at 22:00 on a Saturday night. Parking is on the street, which is free after 18:00. Par for the course in Miami Beach, you will pass a lot of homeless and beggars on the sidewalks because there is a liquor store over on the next block. There was no cover charge. The bouncer patted me down thoroughly. Bikini Bar’s interior is long and narrow, maybe only twenty feet wide. There is a bar on the left side and some high top tables along the right wall. The back has a little more open space with some tables. There is a single booth for lap dances at the rear of the room. The washroom is all the way at the back down a hallway, and it is tiny. Sincweisers were a pricey $10 each, so pace your drinking or just sneak in nips like I did. All of the music was reggaeton. I think the whole time I was there, there was only one song that was not in Spanish.

Dancers dance on a pole at the front end of the bar, then move down the bar top dancing, and finish their set on a pole at the back end of the bar. Bikini Bar wants to be a strip club, but it can't get adult entertainment licensing from Miami Beach, so it is a bar that has dancers in skimpy bikinis who will let you grope them all over on stage and at the bar. Many of the dancers will even flash you their breasts and pussies, which they are technically not supposed to do. There were ten dancers on the Saturday shift. Most dancers speak very little English, so it is going to be easier to communicate if you speak Spanish.
