Got Snookered (My Bad)

Visited Wednesday afternoon 2:30-3:30. Parked on the street nearby to avoid the valet, but – and it’s been several years since I was here – I think they must have torn down the building just to the west of the club and turned it into a much larger parking lot than the small one I remember. It could be that the newer lot is not valet-controlled. (I will let a local Detroiter chime in on that.) There was no cover, and bottled Fiji water was $7.00 at the bar.

This is a nice club, with one large stage and (I think) just one small satellite stage. At this hour, I only saw four customers and six dancers – one black and five white. I was only interested in two, a got dances from each. The first one gave me a confusing recital about costs, including the VIP entrance fee, which I found out later (from another dancer) that *she* was supposed to pay the first time she went back to the VIP area on her shift, but I was led to believe I was supposed to pay it. I was skeptical, but decided just to go for it, since I have plenty of funds for, um, social activities. Whatever. Her dances were also $25 per song, but the second girl I took back only charged $20 and no charge to get back into the booths (could be different at night). This second girl offered the moon and stars for $400, but provided services at a leisurely pace culminating in complete satisfaction for $200 – and there was no per-song charges whatsoever.

As I said, it’s been a while since I was here, but I feel that the only thing that’s changed is that the prices have gone up. That said, it was still fun, but not quite the value it once was. From reading reviews of other Detroit-area clubs, I gather that this has been happening at most of the clubs.
