Afternoon trip

So, stopped in between appointments for a quick beer and dance. If you haven’t been to the Lamplighter, be prepared as it is nothing like the high end strip clubs of, well anywhere.

The building is located on a very industrial section of Route 20 in Worcester on the same lot as an old, no longer functioning(I think) gas station and large warehouse building. Parking is very exposed to the traffic, but hey, wear your mask like you’re supposed to if uncomfortable. The interior is more like a dive bar with a stage. When you enter, directly ahead is the lap dance area, to your left is an outdoor smoking “patio”, to the right is the bar and a larger seating area in front of the stage. The bar is well stocked, though I’m not sure anything besides a beer and two ingredient drink(think rum&coke) is a safe bet. At the far right of the building is the bathrooms and atm machine. Visible from the bar is the open VIP area (curtain closed when in use) directly on the other side of the lap dance area. The stage takes up most of the wall opposite the bar. Music was loud, but not so loud you could not talk and hear another person. Lighting is local dive bar dark, with flashing lights around the stage. Very blue

So, afternoon stop and the woman who works the bar (she’s been there forever), is not super pleasant, but not rude, unless you piss her off. She knows the score and doesn’t miss a trick though, so don’t be an ass. She’s quick to grab you a drink and say hello, but not much for conversation; though I’m not a regular. At the time I stopped in, they were open about 2 hours. 2 dancers at the bar, no one on stage. The dancer at the far end was white, probably late 20’s, made eye contact but didn’t seem interested or engaging. The other dancer was black, a little bit of a small bbw but a knockout. Very friendly and a great smile. Started talking right away and she was genuinely pleasant. She offered a few dances and I agreed.
