Gets the job done
This review is for this last Saturday.
After striking out hard at Bogarts, I decided to make my way to Henry’s. Arrived around 10PM to what was a nearly full parking lot that makes you want to check your suspension. This was immediately discouraging, as all I could think about walking in was the weird set up this bar has for its seats.
Gave the troll $5 for cover and looked around. This layout has been hashed over and over, but here’s a quick recap. Three stages were being used: main on the floor, satelite next to the bar and the odd stage that has bar stools all around it near the glass wall. Seating is odd. One single booth in the far corner by the tall, weird stage, with bar seating nearest a few TVs. On the other side of the satelite stage is the other seating for the main bar, enough to fit 6-8 people. When you first walk in to the right is some chairs and tables in what seems to be the middle of the floor, as well as against the half wall, which happens to be more seating at a bar style area as well. Behind the main stage is where I find the regulars to mostly be seating, as this is the most comfortable seats in the house. On the far wall is the entrance to VIP, which is $10 for the wristband which is good for your whole stay. The bathrooms are a nightmare. If you don’t have to use them, don’t. One urinal was completely bagged up, the other was fine. The stall is also a train wreck, but works. Both sinks were full of water at the time I used them, which made me feel sick.
