Stopped by Friday after work

Can’t tell you how many times I drove past this place without realizing it was there. I recently discovered it and have been there 3-4 times in the past two weeks.

It has the feel of a town tavern/local bar, but with dancers on a small stage behind the bar. Honestly, the place is old and could use some TLC, but overall seems to be well taken care of. It’s right on Route 35 North, but the parking lot is dimly lit and kind of small. It would probably fill up with 15 cars. One definite plus is that there’s a food place right next door. My understanding is that it used to be a diner that closed during the pandemic. It’s opened under new management and they are primarily a burger and fried chicken place. BUT, I’ve eaten there twice already and the chicken wings are fantastic. You can order food there and they’ll deliver to the bar, which comes in very handy when you are there late and get the munchies.

The patrons are a mix of locals/regulars and some guys coming down the Jersey shore. There were also two couples at the bar (older M/F) and a lesbian couple too. The place seemed very welcoming to all and I really can’t say that I saw any jerks while I was there. And interestingly, I didn’t see anyone that looked like a bouncer either. So I guess the crowd regulates itself quite well.
