A crowded Saturday night

Because of my work/golf schedule, I can usually only get to Desire on Friday and Saturday nights. After the Sox won in extras last weekend I decided to get changed up and head to Providence for some entertainment.

The night did not start off well. The parking lot was so packed that I couldn’t get a spot. I had to park down the street and walk over. After walking through the entrance and through the medical detector, I was waiting to pay. The bouncer who was sitting by the register was talking to another bouncer about some workout routine. Honestly the conversation probably went on for 3 minutes while I was just standing there so I interrupted and just said, “Excuse me? Hi, sorry how much is it?”. The bouncer behind the register’s tone changed as soon as I said something, and with a miserable look on his face he said, “$20”.

Now, I’ve never paid more than $10 to get in. Whether it was$20 because it was so crowded that the price goes up or because I interrupted the guy and he was pissed I’m not sure. I didn’t question it as it was $10 extra that I was going to spend anyway, so I paid and cheerfully walked in.
