Strange

First time here in I don't remember. Same old Vic's, nothing ever changes, right. Of course a pain in the behind finding parking, had to circle a few times, then amazingly got a spot in front.

First "Strange", no-one hanging out outside. Anyway get in, $10 cover, up from the old $5, guess inflation like everything else. Beer $7, place moderately full. For the Architecture reviewers, medium size box room, bar and stage in the middle. 180 degree wrap-around, a few stools. Dancers of all shapes and ranges, 2 Latinas, one of which on the obese side, a few enhanced bodies too.

Walk over to the far side, the action side, to get a good view of it all, get a few dances from a tall young beauty. Ask her to change out some singles for me, and she says she has no money in her bag. I say it's after 5, look at all these people, she dismisses it saying their broke and not spending any money. And the "Strange" starts to sink in. Anyone knows Vic's on a Saturday know's it's a party. The girls and DJ do are doing their best to hype it up, the DJ even comes on and admonishes the crowd to tip, pointing out the couple of us on the side spending. Looking around I notice there's nothing going on around the bar. 2 guys on the end getting it and 2 of us on the wall.

After I'm done and she leaves, normally the girls see you spending they'll rush in once you're free, nope, nothing. I stand there about 5 minutes and start getting bored. "Strange". I'm in Vic's bored. On a Saturday at near 6pm. Full bar. I've heard from a few dancers I know, the clubs have been getting slow, one even said the checks are running out. I guess they just assume you have no money like most customers, so they're not as aggressive, but I've never been one to chase to spend my money.

I'll spend the weekend on recon to see if it was just here, but "Strange" indeed.
