I came to Miss Kitty after leaving Scarlett’s drained of cash but not in other important areas. Compared to Scarlett’s Miss Kitty is run down and dumpy, with a much lower quality of dancer. Full disclosure, I had a decent buzz when I walked in, and continued to drink while there. There was no cover and the drinks were cheap. I wasn’t at the bar long when a perky spinner walked up to me and started in with the usual SS. I only had one thing in mind and she was more than happy to oblige. She quoted me 300 for the room and dance, which seemed high, but I was a man on a mission. I withdrew 200 from the ATM at some exorbitant fee and gave her the cash. Then she remembered that she needed another 150 for the room itself. I wasn’t going back to that ATM, but she said the bartender could charge it. The receipt I was handed to sign said $240. At this point I was no longer playing along and demanded both my cash back and the card refunded. She protested returning the cash but the bartender was cool about refunding the card. I left with cash in hand and my receipt showing the money had been refunded (which, checking my statement, it was). It was the closest I’ve come to have been taken for a ride in a while. Miss Kitty is a serviceable club if you’re hunting extras, but come in sober, and with enough cash to get the job done. Make her stick to her price and never be afraid to walk.
