Week nights at Dolphin

PLACE: I really enjoy the location and building. It’s easy enough to be discrete upon entry — it’s on a busy highway but the entrance is not right by the road/sidewalk. The vibes inside are low key (but definitely not dead). The bouncer and the DJ are super friendly! The DJ has a great personality and keeps the vibe going. Bartenders are reasonably friendly. I’ve been a few times recently on weekdays, early evenings (before 8pm).

PEOPLE: There have usually been 10-15 dancers there, maybe less on some nights. Overall very beautiful, 7s and up consistently. Dancers are somewhat friendly but it feels a bit transactional. Private dances are good but not great. The DJ (or maybe some other staff?) controls the time, and they’re not completely private. I doubt there’s any “extras” to be had here.

PRICE: Prices are standard for Portland. $40 a song for private dances. I think beers were $5-7.
