This visit was a waste of time and I probably won't ever come back again!

Feeling nostalgic, I came here on a Wednesday evening around 7 P.M to visit this old stomping ground of mine. Surrounding the club is a dingy looking area with rundown buildings and unmaintained streets but it's honestly not that bad of a neighborhood compared to the other parts of L.A. As I pull up into the free but empty parking lot, my eyes are drawn into the Playpen's owned digital billboard probably trying to attract potential customers coming in and out from the nearby freeway. As I come into the club past some tropical themed plants and red curtains, I'm stopped at a counter where the greeter/bartender scans my ID and I pay a $15 cover charge too get buzzed in through a nearby door. When you come inside the club, you will notice that's it's going for a red theme with its red chairs and dominating red lighting. The club is medium sized with multiple tables and chairs and even some seating adjoined to the walls that separate the private dance areas. Right next to the door you come in from is an ATM and a "bar" but, since this a full nude club in California, the only services worthwhile from there are exchanging your larger bills into singles and paying for the dances if you choose to get any; although if you're parched they do offer soda, juices, energy drinks and strangely enough coffee as well. I believe it was $5 for any drinks for customers and $7 for the dancers although there is no minimum drinks required and they don't hound you to buy drinks for the dancers. Right around the corner of the bar leads to a small hallway where there are two sinks, a mirror and a urinal and two private bathrooms with their own toilet, sink and mirror if you need it. Although there is no bathroom attendant, the bathroom and hallway itself are relatively clean looking and for that matter the whole club itself is well maintained. And last but not least, the middle of the club has a spacious 1 pole stage with decent lighting that gives you a good look at the dancer performing, but strangely enough right next to the stage there is a section behind a window where you can see the DJ. They usually play Hip Hop/rap/r&b type of songs and along some of the walls are huge screens showing the music video of the song being played which gives me something to stare at when I'm sometimes painfully trying to avoid eye contact from some of the unappealing stage performers.

Anyways lets get to the pricing for dances! As I mentioned earlier, you pay for dances to the bartender at the juice bar. $40 for "two" songs back in the private area, but with how short the DJ usually cuts the songs your pretty much paying $40 for the duration of one normal song length. And other than that, the club offers VIP dances of 10 minutes for $100; 15 minutes for $175; 30 minutes for $300. If you go for the $40 option, you are led into a private area that has two opened entrances. In this area, there are small couches/seating that are lined up against the wall next to each other separating each other by boards. There are no curtains blocking off the seatings but as long as you don't sit down by any of the entrances you'll have a little bit of privacy unless other customer/dancers pass by you looking for their private seating. And if you go for one of the VIP options you are then led to a one-way opened entrance leading to 3 or 4 different seating areas that are more private and spacious. In my opinion, the 10 minutes for $100 dollars is probably the best bang for your buck if you divide the cost over the minutes if you want to be anal about it. And other than the random times where the DJ offers a special of $40 for three songs that's pretty much all they offer at this club.

As far as the girl's demographic goes, they're mostly latinas and very few black girls. Even though the surrounding area is rapidly gentrifying, from the couple of times I've been here before I've rarely seen white girls and I've never seen an asian dancer. Girls come in varying sizes, although more come in the chubby side and the skinny and normal height side. But on this particular night the club was dead; I was the only customer when I came in and there were only about 5 dancers present. I stayed hoping for better prospect to come in through those doors, although I knew from previous experience that at most there were only ever 10-12 girl present on a Friday or Saturday nights and these 5 girls would most likely be the best they have to offer this Wednesday night. All the girls approached me in a cheery manner and actually tried to engage with me in a small conversation. I got two separate $40 for 3 songs special from two of the dancers but the grinding was subpar from what I'm used to here and they barely allowed any touching of ass or boobs. Worst part yet is none of the dancers got fully nude in this full nude club, one of them didn't even flash their kitty. I stayed for another 30 minutes throwing dollars at the girls up on stage feeling bad since they threw the girls up there since I was there. Leaving the club disappointed and reflecting on this experience I guess I was looking through rose tinted glasses of my memory of this place and since I've haven't been to a club for a while I thought it would be fun. Unless you have a CF dancer here, I would not recommend coming to this club at all.
