Is Shooters worth a visit? Depends what you're looking for. I went to this small club on a Saturday night after trying Roosters "down the hill," where there was a light crowd and only two girls in the entire bar. I hadn't been to Shooters in some time and not since they remodeled. Two earlier visits proved a bust: lackluster air dances with no contact whatsoever and less-than-average looking dancers terminally bored with their jobs. Maybe things had improved. I figured I'd check it out instead of going back to Follies.

Any semblance of neighborhood-bar atmosphere at Shooters disappeared with the remodeling. Now it's all about formulaic faux glitz. People must like the place, though. It was jammed with hootin' and hollerin' guys. There hardly was a vacant seat around the stage. The music was large as the crowd. Not good, just really loud.

Here's the good stuff, which is only sorta, maybe good. The girls were better looking than years past. A sober guy with reasonable standards would rate them 4-6. Ethnicity was mixed with the edge going to the white girls.
