I had a quick stopover in Harrisburg recently on a Thursday night. Grabbed some dinner downtown and decided to check out Adult World on the way to the hotel. It's on a commercial road, right off highway I-83 north of town. The parking lot is well lit in front, and a sign said there was more parking in the rear, which may have been a little shady.
The building looks like it may have been a Red Barn restaurant in the 70's, with an addition added on. As the name implies, it's a combo adult toy / video store and strip club. I paid 10 bucks to the attendant, who was munching on some take out, for admission to club.
You go through a separate door for the club and the music is thumping. There were about 8 customers from all walks of life sitting in the small club. There is no bar, and I didn't notice anybody BYOB'ing.
There was a girl on stage when I walked in, 60% covered in tattoos and piercings. Looks like the routine was 3 songs, bikini, topless then nude.
Along each side of the club are about 8 lap dance booths, with half-walls on the left and right side and the front is open to the rest of the room. No privacy.
It looked like a decent brunette was giving a guy a couple dances when I came in. My sight was blocked by the half walls but it looked like limited touching. There was a thick AA girl giving another guy an LD later, but she looked like she'd rather be anywhere else.
Another skinny blonde dancer came to the main stage, spent most of her time looking at herself in the mirror. I tipped her a few bucks on my way out, cut my losses and left. Just not a good vibe. A few others girls popped out of the dressing room for like 30 seconds, then went back in.
