Disappointing afternoon

I'm from out of town, and I only had a couple hours in the area, so I thought I'd see what the Gold Room had to offer. It was early afternoon (1 pm), so I knew there weren't likely to be many dancers. I called ahead and asked the manager if there were any dancers there, and he assured me there were. In fact, he seemed annoyed that I would even ask such a preposterous question.

I showed up and was let in by the valet guy. I was on public transit, so I don't know how much the valet costs. The manager, Steve, greeted me and gave me the rundown of the club. It's a huge place with nice decor. The bathrooms are near the front entrance, then you walk down a long hall that turns right into the club area. There's a stage to the left and VIP area to the right. The bar is in the back of the room. The whole place was pretty dark.

Despite what Steve had said on the phone, there were no dancers on stage. Two dancers were sitting with other customers in the bar area and stayed with them the whole time I was there. I didn't get a very good look at either one. A really beautiful woman came in and sat down at the bar near me, but it turns out she was just a friend of the manager and not there to dance.
