Saturday afternoon return visit just to shake things up a bit. No shaking going on.
Club details: paid $17 to enter at 2pm on Saturday. Usually it's $22. There is a single raised stage in the center of the back, mirrored wall. Typical seating arrangement with the first row right next to the stage, then two rows behind that, and a few on the sides. There are three private rooms on the right wall, separated from the main room by beaded curtains and from each other by Japanese style room dividers. Those rooms have comfortable sofas and are set up for good private dances. Those rooms are priced at 15 minutes, 30 minutes and an hour. I've seen the prices fluctuate, but $175 for 15 minutes seems the usual.
There is a VIP section that is behind you as you behind a glass brick wall as you watch the main stage. I said there is only one stage but technically there is a very small stage in front of the glass brick wall that I've never seen used even on the busiest nights (except by dancers "warming up".) VIP dances are $30 per song but you'll often be quoted $40 topless or 3 for $100.
Now with that out of the way, on to this visit. I arrived at 2pm, paid my entry fee and found a seat. I was the only customer there, but 3 liners followed me in within a few minutes. Here's what we witnessed:
Song 1, empty stage
Song 2, empty stage. At the end of this song the prerecorded DJ invited us to give a hand to the "Lovely Miss: Stage" and suggested we take her back for a good time in the VIP section. I've been back there, and that stage won't fit.
Song 3: Robo DJ let's us know that Stage Maintenance was happening. Nobody was maintaining anything except my boredom.
Song 4: Robo DJ says more Stage Maintenance and "Wednesday, you're just one away." I think I saw (during the stage non-maintenance) Wednesday slip out of the VIP trailed by a customer who swiftly made his way to the men's.
Song 5: Wednesday arrived on stage (at this point it felt like Monday, but it was Saturday still.) Wednesday is tall, quite thin but with loose skin covered with tattoos that give the appearance that her tattoo artist just tosses a dart at a picture of the human body and throws something random on the corresponding part of Wednesday's body (except for the two straight lines tattooed on the back of her legs.) The song is from that musical genre that to me sounds like the singer is recording while simultaneously having a difficult time on the toilet.
Song 6: I shit you not this song is based on the film Full Metal Jacket. Actual movie dialogue makes up the bulk of the lyrics. Really sexy stuff. Can't tell you how worked up I get hearing "Our Marine Corps" shouted to heavy metal accompaniment.
Song 7: "The Lovely Miss: Wednesday" leaves the stage. Another dancer finds her way to the floor but is not announced and just goes back behind the stage while the song plays.
Song 8: "Stage Maintenance you're just 1 away" is spoken over this song and signals my exit.
Generally, during the week this club is hit or miss, and on weekends it is Miss and Miss Stage during the day.
