Fun Can Be Had

I was passing through Greensboro on a Saturday night and had only about a two-hour window to do some mongering before I had to get back on the road. I hit Southside Johnny’s and Treasure Club and will submit reviews for each with this paragraph as an intro. In general, clubs in NC are relatively high-cost, low-mileage establishments. In my experience, SSJ and TC are two of maybe only four in the state which provide a chance of obtaining high mileage. My reviews will focus mostly on costs and my perception of value.

I arrived at about 9:20 on a Saturday night to find a parking lot so devoid of cars I thought they must have been closed, but I could see that the entry door was open a bit. There were actually three cars parked in a corner of the lot up close to the club, with a couple of girls standing around talking. When I got out of my car, one of the girls called to me and said “We’re not open, no girls working yet. Come back about 10:00 or 10:30.” I have come here before about 9:00 to find only a few girls working, but at least they were letting people in then. Oh well, off to Treasure Club, which is only a few miles away.

Came back about 10:30, parked for free in the lot which now had a decent number of cars, and, unlike at the Treasure Club, my wearing athletic shorts was not even mentioned. After asking if they had girls working, I paid the $20 cover and found about a dozen guys inside waiting to be entertained. I only had about an hour left before I really had to get back on the road, so I got a $3 bottled water at the bar (the place is BYO alcohol, hence the only nude club in the state) and headed to the stage.
