Other reviews cover club layout, prices, etc... so I’m going to skip all that and get to my visit.

For the first time in a long, long time I ventured into a club by myself. All of my friends were busy, and I had some extra cash burning a hole in my pocket so I figured why not. I arrived at Desires around 9:30pm. To be honest the night didn’t get off to a great start. One, I was told it was a $20 cover (I thought it was $10) and two, a few guys were trying to get in that the bouncers didn’t like, which led to a shouting match.

Once inside though, I sat a the bar immediately to the right of the entrance doors and ordered a gin and tonic for $11. The bartenders were all overly friendly and truthfully it seemed as though most guys were there by themselves. I struck up some conversation with a few people sitting next to me, including a woman who was there y herself. All of the dancers seeemed to know her though so I’m not quite sure what the deal was.
