Diamond in the Rough
So this review covers two visits on back to back week days. Wednesday and Thursday. Both days I arrived between 5-6pm, the end of day shift and stayed over into night shift. These were my first ever visits to Bogart’s.
I had made a scouting trip a few weeks prior knowing I would have more time to visit and monger on this trip. My scouting trip was to Landing Strip, and I had intended to return. In the few weeks between my visits, I read on TUSCL that LS and FC nearby both had instituted a $25 VIP fee for each visit. LS was just a one time fee on my scout trip. Bogart’s is still $10 VIP tax good for your entire stay. Now this played a roll in my decision making, but this alone is not the reason I went to bogarts. My mood was to have as much fun as I could buy limit spending. I have a lot of mongering to catch up on due to COVID, and I want to have fun on all my trips around the country. I do enjoy the pricy clubs (reference my pre-COVID review of Dean’s Gold in Miami area - THANK YOU again Papa C. For the reference!), but I also enjoy the dives and finding a Diamond in the rough. To be honest, had LS remained a onetime VIP tax, I likely would not have reconsidered Bogart’s.
This club was reviewed consistently as a dive. Relative to some of the dives I frequent in the south (Fayetteville NC - Red Neck Yacht Club and its string of predecessors) Bogart’s is not a dive. It is a middle of the pack club. It is a lesser club than FC or LS for sure, in ambiance and girls, but not as much as a dive as I was expecting. For those who regularly read my review, this club is like the old Mickey’s in Fayetteville NC (now closed) but with a better VIP. Bogart’s is also comparable to Diamond Dolls in Pompano FL (I think I got the city right. North side of Miami. I reviewed Diamond Dolls the same week as Deans Gold. Again thanks PC).
