Peyton's is Back!

Peyton's is back, and that's good news! The place is not as good as it used to be, but that's typical for businesses returning from pandemic closure and hopefully it will become better than ever in the future.

No more afternoon hours, unfortunately. Opening time at 8 PM, and nothing much happens until 8:30 or so. A bouncer frisks for weapons - he's a nice guy that worked there before. No admission charge and no pressure to buy drinks is a plus! None of the dancers from before they closed are there now, but I've already found a fun favorite among the new ones - a slim, attractive black lady that unlike many others can hold an intelligent conversation. As before the music is too loud to allow easily holding such a conversation anywhere in the place. The bathroom for customers is awful - all you can do is pee in a urinal; no toilet paper and no water running in the sink! They've only been open 2 weeks - hopefully this will be fixed soon.

The VIP room is $125 for 15 minutes; it used to be $100. This room is not well ventilated/air conditioned, and the music is too loud there just as it is outside. One of the two couches present there in the past is gone. You used to be able to move out a table between the two couches and push them together so you could lie down - but even that was not very comfortable because they are narrow. More money, less comfort. Hopefully the missing couch will be returned and the music turned down a few decibels.
