Afternoon visit

I like a little variety in my local strip clubbing, and hadn't been to Purple Orchid in a while, so thought I'd stop by for an afternoon visit. It's relatively easy to get to, right over the bridge on Passyunk Avenue. It's situated sort of as purple outbuilding from a strip mall looking place behind it (which featured a sex shop). Parking was easy enough - I parked behind the building, but could have gone to the larger parking lot if it was full.

Upon entering, there is a table on the left with a curmudgeonly white guy who handles tracking private dances. He didn't ask for a cover charge (I was there around 4:00). I asked if he handled change for a $20, he told me to get it from my bartender. The bar is rectangular and seats are all around it. No obvious COVID precautions anywhere. I was greeted by the barmaid and asked for a coke. She took $5 for it (I think) and I gave her a $2 tip. The cup was a tiny 6 ounce plastic cup and it had ice. Another guy came in shortly after me and while she was filling his cup, she gave me a free refill, mentioning that they ran out of larger cups. She got another $1 for that (I know, so generous).

There were about a half dozen PLs around the bar, all but one of whom were white, which I found kind of funny. All the dancers were WOC. At one point, one of the employees opened the rear exit to the parking lot to take out the trash or something, and the dark club was blasted in sunlight. Haha.
