The Hideaway is literally hidden away...

The Hideaway is literally hidden away in the middle of an industrial neighborhood in Stamford. it's a local bar with strippers in the back corner - most of the patrons seem to be there to drink beer, watch sports on TV, and play pool. But it can be worth the effort to dodge the trucks and concrete barriers and everything else in the neighborhood, if you're there at the right time and find the right dancer. I was there one recent Friday afternoon and waited through several uninspired performances by 5's and 6's, until finally some life came to the club. Honey, an energetic girl, brought guys to the edge of the small stage, and she brought dollars out of their pockets. And the LDs which followed were just that much better. So, all in all, I can give the Hideaway a qualified endorsement. The beer is cold, the patrons seem to have their routines down, the dancers aren't pushy, and the experience can be a good one.
