Good Times, Bad Times, Same Chica

Crossed the border Saturday (6/26). Went through the Mexican side, Visa in hand, but nobody looked at me or it. This time I was dragging a big travel bag, because I had been on the road for two months and thought I would be questioned. Nada. Time to enjoy some TJ candy. On the Foreigner side there were about 10 people waiting. Through the X-ray and down the path. Saw the Zona limo backing into the dirt lot and waived to the driver. He motioned me around the corner and another person walked me down the path to the pickup point. I usually walk or occasionally take a taxi in part because I wasn’t sure where the Zona pickup had been relocated. Rode in with a group of unprepared 20-somethings. They were giddy and passing out bundles of fresh $1s. Later I saw one of them trying to book a room at Hotel Cascadas…on a Saturday night. Like I said, unprepared.

Did a lap around the smaller clubs, starting with Dulce Gabanna, which was dead. Walked through La Gloria. Taxi dancing isn’t my scene, so I kept walking. Outside Play Boy a hot girl was hanging out, so I thought it had potential. The hot girl was occupied, but there might be another. A mesera asked to sit with me, but I turned her away. A low 6 asked and I accepted her sitting with me, but after two drinks, I wasn’t feeling it and thought it best to move on.

Gold Palace was next. I had low expectations, but I also wasn’t in a rush. There was a spinner dancing on stage that had potential. I was the only one who tipped her a few dollars, but she got off stage and went to sit with another. It was around 9:00 and there were about 10 mongers and 7 girls, mostly 5s, but my tastes run GND, so GP provided a few options in the 6-7 range. It just takes one to make my night.
