Don’t Come for the Service

As I mentioned in my review of The Vegas Club, Showplace benefited from the shutdown of Chicago and Milwaukee clubs. Many of the dancers that came from other clubs to work here during shutdown have now gone back to those clubs. There’s nothing left now but the local talent which can be hit or miss. Not to mention inattentive bartenders that would rather party with their friends than get you a drink.

I decided to end my night at Showplace after a lackluster visit to Vegas Club. I arrived after midnight to a fairly crowded club. “Welcome back,” said the girl at the front as she waved me in. That was the only pleasant interaction I was to have that night.

I made my way to the bar to grab myself a drink and survey the room. The bar is straight ahead on your left as soon as you walk in. Across from the bar is the stage. On both sides of the stage there are several tables. To the left of the stage are the bathrooms, the right the dance cubicles, and in the back of the stage more tables and the VIP rooms.
