Totally back to normal
After a COVID hiatus I finally made it back out to a club. Philly is fully open now, so I thought I would see if anything had changed at Club Risque. Short answer is, everything was back to basically normal.
There is a large free parking lot with security guard across the street, enter through a metal detector. Cover was $20 at 8:15p on a Thursday. Club has a triangular layout with two stages inside the central bar, with tables and small satellite stages around the outside of the room. Private dance room is to the back left and VIP and bathrooms are to the back right. Smoking is allowed. I tend to go at less busy times, so most patrons and dancers were sitting at the main bar, although the outer tables start to fill up later in the night and on the weekends. One bartender wore a mask some of the time, and I didn't see any other masks on employees, dancers, or patrons.
There is a tip walk here, but its not super pushy. Dancers used to circulate inside the bar and ask for tips after being on stage, but now they do it outside the bar. Guess that's the only lasting COVID change.
